Vitamin D and Cardiac Failure in Infants

In a randomised study, infants with heart failure who were given 1000IU a day of Vitamin D3 for three months along with their heart failure treatment improved ejection fractions to normal, decreased inflammatory markers, and increased Vitamin D levels in the blood. The positive results on the heart failure were statistically significant. This confirms the current research that links Vitamin D to heart health.
