Memory lane: I grew up in Poland with “syfon”, a reloadable carbonator for water. We had just one fat glass bottle that in summer I would take to a little store around the block for a carbonation reload as needed, so we always had sparkling water available at home in summer. Life was good- and it was so simple! Guess what! You do not need to keep buying plastic or glass bottles of sparkling water to quench your thirst any more. Keep away from the soda isle in grocery stores altogether! Keep away from the soda isle in grocery stores altogether with this easy healthy soda alternative, and get some added health benefits!

I Love Our Soda Stream!

No, it is not a mineral water, so you are NOT getting extra minerals. But you are eliminating plastic, glass, trips to the store, and back breaking of carrying the water home. No more sugar, chemicals, colorings, or artificial neurotoxic sugar alternatives. Remember, your soda water will only be as good as your tap water, so please install a filter on your tap, so you will still get minerals from your water in your sparking water! Recipe: My Favorite Sprite (with Aloe!)

Aloe vera juice sprite is absolutely MY GO-TO soda special. I cannot live without it. Aloe vera is soothing to the intestinal tract; it is ant-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-parasitic. It helps modulate the immune system (which means it helps it communicate better and be less confused, irritated, overactive etc.) and is highly anti-inflammatory. It has many more benefits (see below) and, not surprisingly, it is one of our go-to at home for stomach upsets of any kinds, including my husband’s heartburn, so we always have a bottle in the fridge and a few more in the cupboard.

  • Fill 1/4 of your glass with Ultimate Aloe Vera Juice by Nutrametrix (my favorite is the one with pomegranate juice added to it- so delicious)
  • Add a few ice cubes or frozen fruit
  • Fill the rest of the glass with the soda water from your Soda Stream
  • Drink and repeat!
  • If you want the aloe benefit but hate pomegranate flavor, Nutramterix has natural flavor available; this way you can play with your own lemon juice etc., for a flavor of your choice.

Adding aloe vera to your homemade “soda” is very smart

That is an easy question: anywhere you have kitchen stuff- e.g. Bed, Bath and Beyond! Just do not use the flavored packages that come with the purchase.
