Ingredients
- 3 cups of tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoon maple syrup
- 2 pita breads per person
- 12 ounce tofu cheese
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon basil
- Toppings
- Pineapple chunks
- Tomato slices
- Zucchini slices
- Green pepper slices
- Sliced mushrooms
- Spinach
- Pine nuts
- Sliced olives
Instructions
- Heat the tomato sauce while heating the broiler. Lightly toast the pita and spread on the tomato sauce. Sprinkle on the herbs, tofu cheese and assortment of toppings. Place the breads on a flat tray and broil for up to 4 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
