Oat Vegetarian Burgers

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup of carrots, chopped small
- 2/3 cup of celery, chopped small
- 1 cup of rolled oats, ground in a blender or food processor
- 1 cup ground nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds are the best)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ cup of finely chopped onion
- ½ cup of water or non-dairy milk
- 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 teaspoons parsley
- ½ teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
- ½ teaspoon basil
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon rosemary
- 4 teaspoons tamari
Instructions
- Steam the carrots and celery until tender, then mash them and add the remaining ingredients. Use a fork to mix well. Oil a frying pan and cook over medium heat. Form the mixture into 8-12 patties and lightly coat each one with flour. Cook them for several minutes on each side until nicely browned and serve with mustard, ketchup, relish and a bun.
