Jalapeno Black Bean Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ cup onion, sliced
- 1 ½ tablespoons garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Jalapeno, seeded and minced
- 2 cups black beans, cooked
- 1 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons tamari
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, minced
- ½ teaspoon chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon pepper flakes
- ½ teaspoon cumin powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon mirin
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Place oil in a pot on medium heat. Add onion, garlic, jalapeno, cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the black beans and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and place in a blender with remaining ingredients except cilantro and blend until smooth. Add cilantro and mix well. Add water for consistency as desired.
