French Country Stew

Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups chickpeas, presoaked overnight
- 3 ½ cups of water
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 strip of dulse
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 small cauliflower cut into bite size pieces
- 1 tablespoon basil
- ½ teaspoon cardamom
- ¼ teaspoon cloves
- Celtic Sea Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions
- Drain and rinse beans well. Simmer beans, water, dulse, bay leaves for about 30 minutes until the beans begin to soften. Saute the garlic, onions cauliflower and carrots in olive oil for 5 minutes. Add them to the beans. Simmer for 15 minutes. Season with herbs, honey, sugar, cloves, cardamom, salt and pepper.
