Falafel Spread

Ingredients
- 1 cup dry chick peas
- ½ cup sesame tahini
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons grated or finely chopped onion
- 4 teaspoons tamari
- 2 teaspoons chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
Instructions
- Soak the chick peas and cook until very tender, then drain and save the liquid. While the chick peas are hot, mash them with the remaining ingredients. Add 1 cup of reserved cooking liquid as needed making a spreading consistency, adjusting herbs to taste. You may use a bit less liquid in the spread and add some teff flour and roll into balls for frying as well.
