Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Combine the wet ingredients thoroughly. In a separate bowl, sift together the dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix well. Flatten a handful of batter to ½ inch and smooth into a basic round shape on a well-oiled cookie sheet, or roll with a rolling pin and cut with cookie cutters. Bake 15 minutes and let the cookies cool on wire racks. The cookies will be soft, but will harden as they cool.
