Ingredients
- Wet ingredients
- 2 cups of sprouted wheat berries, ground
- 1 cup of maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon molasses
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Dry ingredients
- 2/3 cup spelt flour
- 1/3 cup of kamut flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt
- ¼ teaspoon ginger
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- Few dashes of allspice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Grind the wheat berries with a blender or food processor. Mix them with the sweetener and vanilla. Stir in the remaining ingredients together in a separate bowl. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients into the wet and mix well. Lightly oil and flour a 9 inch square baking pan. Gently press the mixture into the pan. Bake for 50 minutes or until lightly browned. The cake may be topped with coconut frosting.
